John Eugene Melecsinsky was born in Brattleboro, Vermont on November 26, 1935.He received his primary education in New Britain, CT,where he graduated from High School in 1953. Melecsinsky enrolled in Pratt Institute,Brooklyn, N.Y. and Graduated in 1957 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree
In Graphic Arts and Ilustration.
After graduation from Pratt, Melecsinsky enrolled for two years in the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, Italy. Since
then he been living painting and painting alternately in Hinsdale N.H. and in Florence, Italy. During this time John has exhibited in one-man and group Exhibitions throughout Italy, in France, Switzerland,England and Australia,
And throughout New England and New York.
